Chapter 9 carries forward the legacy of the first African American Marines who were allowed to join the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942.


Tyrone Jackson, President, Montford Point Marines, Chapter 9

Chapter 9 has approximately 65 member from surrounding Lowcountry in the cities of Charleston, Hampton, and Columbia, SC, including members from Savannah, GA and Boston, MA. Our meetings are held on the first Monday of each month for both the Chapter and Auxiliary. Our dues are tax deductible.

    Montford Point Marines, Chapter 9, Auxiliary Members

    The National Montford Point Marine Association’s Auxiliary is a nonprofit organization and place where families and veterans can turn to for support, education, and guidance. We provide access to tools, personnel, and community events that allow all to succeed and easily integrate into their communities. We provide resources that offer new employment opportunities and job training, as well as support groups that promote camaraderie and friendship, and that helps establish peace during times of transition.
